Latest bracketology puts the LSU Tigers as a No. 4 seed

The LSU Tigers men’s basketball team is preparing for the Auburn Tigers on Dec. 29. The team is sitting at 12-0 and the only undefeated team remaining in the SEC. Auburn has the second-best record.

The end goal would be a trip to the NCAA men’s tournament and the opportunity to bring a championship to the Bayou for the first time ever.

Joe Lunardi released his latest bracketology on Christmas Eve and the Tigers find themselves in the East Region. In the four-team bracket in Milwaukee, LSU would join Xavier, UAB, and South Dakota State. Notable teams in the East bracket would be No. 1 Duke, No. 2 Michigan State, No. 6 Texas, No. 8 Michigan, and No. 9 Oklahoma.

Under Wade, the Tigers were eliminated in the second round of the 2020-21 tournament. During the 2018-19 tournament Wade’s team made it all the way to the Sweet 16, the furthest he has taken a team.

For the Tigers, the team will need huge contributions from Darius Days, Tari Eason, and Efton Reid among others.
