Lady Trojans claim victory in first conference jamboree

STURGIS — The Sturgis golf team held serve in the opening conference jamboree on Monday.

The Lady Trojans hosted the first Wolverine Conference event at Klinger Lake Country Club. Sturgis shot a team score of 195 to bring home the jamboree first spot. Vicksburg came in second with a 214, Paw Paw finished third with a team score of 216. Three Rivers was eighth, the Wildcats shot a round of 289.

Leading the way for Sturgis was Citori Kosmerick. She fired a round of 43, which was good for a tie for medalist honors. Ayla Jaeger of Plainwell also shot 43. Sturgis' Madison Webb carded a round of 45 for the day, this was good for third place individually.

Hannah Falkenstein shot a 52, this tied her for eighth. Piper Sterling's round was 55 followed by Aspen Hyska with a 57 and Mia Martinez with a 59.

Three Rivers was led by Lily Zabonick with a round of 56. Maggie Gose shot 71 while Ashton Ware's round was 80 and Cassandra Gillette fired an 82.
