Who are the teams in the NCAA softball Athens Regional?

Georgia (39-16) welcomes UNCW, Liberty and Charlotte to Jack Turner Stadium. The winner of this regional will play the winner of the Los Angeles Regional in the super-regional round. That regional is led by national No. 6 seed UCLA, along with Grand Canyon, San Diego State and Virginia Tech.

The Bulldogs are led by Lilli Backes from the circle with an ERA of 2.36 and 116 strikeouts. Dallis Goodnight leads the Georgia offense with a batting average of .357 to go with 41 hits and 12 RBIs.

What days, times, channels are the games?

The first-round games will be played on Friday, the second on Saturday and then the regional championship on Sunday. The games will start at 1 p.m. ET on Friday and 11 a.m. ET on Saturday. They will be aired on ESPN's family of networks.

What is the format of an NCAA softball regional?

The regional tournament is double-elimination with two games in the opening round on Friday: 1-seed vs. 4-seed and 2-seed vs. 3-seed. The winners and losers of each matchup will play Saturday. The undefeated team will advance to the final, while the team with two losses is eliminated. Both teams that are 1-1 will play a second game on Saturday and the winner will advance to the final on Sunday. That team will have to beat the undefeated team twice to advance into Super Regionals.

Where can I park at Jack Turner Stadium?

Parking is limited at Jack Turner Stadium due to ongoing construction as they build the new softball facilities. It is advised to arrive as early as possible to guarantee yourself a spot.

Overflow parking will be directed to the Shops of South Athens on Milledge Ave. A shuttle will transport patrons to and from the lot and the stadium from designated pickup locations, beginning 30 minutes before every game and running about an hour post-game.

How can I get tickets for Georgia softball in the NCAA Tournament?

All-session tickets are already available for sale through Georgia Athletics as of Monday for $25 and will remain on sale until Wednesday at 9 a.m.

Single-game tickets will begin when all-session sales close, going at $10 per adult and $5 for children. UGA students can attend for free.

All seating is general admission only and gates will open one hour before the first game is scheduled to start each day. The stadium is cashless and has a clear bag policy enforced.
