Key UNC target says Duke was dream school growing up

Hubert Davis has limited who he’s offers in the class of 2024, with only a handful of offers out there.

One prospect that holds an offer from the UNC basketball program is South Carolina guard Cam Scott.

Scott, a five-star prospect in the 247Sports Composite Rankings, has a strong relationship with UNC and has already been on campus a few times for unofficial visits.

While Scott may be high on UNC now, he hasn’t always been a fan. Growing up, Scott said his favorite team and dream school was Duke.

Scott holds offers from North Carolina, South Carolina, Florida State, Clemson, LSU, Georgia, Ole Miss, Tennessee, Texas Tech and more, but nothing from Duke at the moment.

In addition to the Tar Heels, Scott has taken visits to Clemson, Florida State and South Carolina.

Oregon, South Carolina, North Carolina and College of Charleston are the programs prioritizing Scott most at the moment.

On August 1, Scott can begin taking official visits and will have a total of 10 between his junior and senior years. He already has a few in mind.

I plan on visiting Oregon in October. I’m looking to set up South Carolina, UNC, and Florida State visits soon as well.

It’s clear that North Carolina will be one of the top teams in Scott’s recruitment until the end as he continues to be near the top of UNC’s list in 2024.
