Kate Upton is pregnant!
The model announced that she was expecting her first child in an Instagram post on Saturday afternoon. The father-to-be is Upton's husband Justin Verlander, a pitcher for the Houston Astros, who shared the news in an adorable Instagram of his own shortly after Upton's post.
The power couple got hitched last November in a stunning Tuscan wedding attended by family and close friends—just a few days after the Astros won the World Series (not a bad couple of days for the newlyweds).
Upton shared the news of her pregnancy with a photo of her in a sharp red, ankle-length suit posed on a hotel balcony in Miami. She kept the caption short and simple: "#PregnantinMiami @justinverlander 🌞❤️"
Verlander, meanwhile, expounded a little more than Upton did—and it's clear to anyone that these two are beyond thrilled by the news.
"You’re going to be the most amazing Mom!! I can’t wait to start this new journey with you! You’re the most thoughtful, loving, caring, and strong woman I’ve ever met," he captioned on a repost of Upton's pic. "I’m so proud that our little one is going to be raised in this world by a woman like you! I love you so much."
