There have now been 33 Super Bowl titles won by 28 former Texas players. Terry Orr, Dan Neil, Casey Hampton, Aaron Ross and Malcom Brown are UT's only two-time champions.

Omenihu wasn't the only player with a Texas tie for the Chiefs. Keaontay Ingram, who spent three seasons at Texas before he transferred to USC, is a running back on the Kansas City practice squad. Former UT defensive lineman Keondre Coburn was taken by the Chiefs in the sixth round of the 2023 NFL draft, but he was waived in October. Coburn later spent a month on Kansas City's practice squad before he was signed by Tennessee.
