This Jupiter man is driving to Kansas City for Dolphins' playoff game. By choice.

At some point on Friday, Cristian Orth and his friend, Jordan Haynes, are going to hop in a dark blue Mazda SUV and make a 20-hour drive from Jupiter, Florida, to Kansas City, Missouri.

By choice.

Orth and Haynes know it will be around minus 5 degrees on Saturday night during the Chiefs-Dolphins playoff game. With a wind chill around minus 15 and wind gusts around 23 mph.

"I wish it were colder," Orth said this week.

Orth and Haynes, fully aware of the conditions, paid $236 per ticket for Row 15 seats at Arrowhead Stadium through a resale website.

"We want to be a part of this year's Super Bowl run," Orth said.

Orth, 21, is a defensive line coach and recruiting coordinator at Jupiter High School, where he once played. He also coaches girls flag football.

Orth, who is continuing his business education at Florida International, and is developing a company called Light Snack, is making a business trip decision that some may consider insane.

"Dolphins by 14," Orth predicted of Saturday night.

But don't people think you're crazy?

"I’ll be wearing a couple Ryan Tannehill jerseys to keep warm," Orth said. "We’ve only been able to watch the Dolphins in the playoffs three times in our lives."

Orth said he attended three Dolphins home games this season. And he's attended five regular-season road games in his lifetime.

For some reason, he once attended a Titans-Bengals playoff game where it was about 12 degrees and windy.

Orth's favorite all-time player? Ryan Tannehill.

His favorite player on this roster? Fullback Alec Ingold.

Orth says he knows people think he's fanatic and, well, he is.

"Hopefully, the Dolphins win," he said. "And it's worth the drive."
