JuJu Watkins, USC headline teams coming to play IU women's basketball in Bloomington

BLOOMINGTON — JuJu Watkins and the USC Trojans will be making their way to Bloomington this winter.

USC is one of eight Big Ten teams coming to Assembly Hall in the 2024-25 season, joining UCLA, Illinois, Maryland, Nebraska, Ohio State, Rutgers, and Wisconsin.

There are four new teams in the Big Ten this season — USC, UCLA, Washington, and Oregon — bringing the conference total up to 18. Women's basketball plays 18 conference games per season, which will now be formatted by playing 16 teams once (home or away) and one team twice (home and away).

The conference leaned geographically with the double-play opponents, so IU's home-and-away opponent this season is Purdue.

IU will travel to Iowa, Michigan, Michigan State, Minnesota, Northwestern, Oregon, Penn State, and Washington this season.

Dates, times, and TV designations will be announced later.
