James Shields allows three runs over seven innings in a no-decision

Royals pitcher James Shields posted a quality start in a no-decision Monday night against the White Sox. He allowed three runs on 10 hits and no walks while striking out six over seven innings of a 4-3 victory.

Over his last four starts covering 29 1/3 innings, Shields has allowed only four earned runs. He owns a 3.15 ERA and a 1.19 WHIP over 32 starts (214 1/3 innings). His next start will come Sunday at home against Detroit.
