Jalen Hurts on what the Eagles offense needs to make them elite
Jalen Hurts entered the 2022 NFL offense with some sense of security since it was the first time the scheme and offensive staff would remain the same on his current team.
Philadelphia will enter the regular season with a quarterback who didn’t have to adjust to a new system or coordinator for the first time since high school.
After the Eagles, Monday morning practice, Hurts sat down with Jon Marks and Ike Reese on 94WIP, and the third-year quarterback talked about what the Philadelphia offense would need to do to be considered an elite unit.
“Process and stuff, seeing it, and being consistent in it,” he said. “I think there were games where I played at a really high-level last year, and then there were games where it wasn’t the same guy from the week before. Simply put, it’s consistency. I think being consistent will make things elite around here, it will make me elite, it will make this offense elite. And that’s on all levels, that’s on every position.”
Philadelphia has added A.J. Brown on offense, along with Haason Reddick, Jordan Davis, James Bradberry, Nakobe Dean, and Kyzir White on the defensive side of the ball.
The moves have put the Eagles in a position to make a deep playoff run, ad all eyes will be on Hurts as he looks to cement himself as the quarterback for years to come.
