Jacksonville Jaguars predictions: Do any experts think Titans extend Jags' losing skid?

The Jacksonville Jaguars' grip on the AFC South is suddenly loose. Can Doug Pederson's team tighten it again against the Tennessee Titans?

After last week's 34-3 shellacking at the hands of the San Francisco 49ers, the Jags (6-3) lead the Houston Texans by just one game. Quarterback Trevor Lawrence hasn't thrown for 300 yards since Oct. 8 and has thrown just nine touchdowns this season against six interceptions. Travis Etienne had scored seven TDs in four games before the Niners held him to 44 total yards last week.

The Titans (3-6) won their first game after switching quarterbacks from Ryan Tannehill to Will Levis, but they've lost their past two. The rookie tossed four touchdowns in his Oct. 29 debut but has thrown none with two interceptions against the Steelers and Buccaneers. Yulee's Derrick Henry has run for 100 yards just twice this season and has only four TDs, while DeAndre Hopkins had three scores in Levis' first game but none the rest of his first season in Nashville.

The Jaguars and Titans meet again in the last week of the season. Who wins Round 1? Here's a look at what NFL reporters and analysts predict will happen:

Lorenzo Reyes, USA TODAY: Jags 20-6

"The Titans have covered just two of their last seven games, while the Jaguars were humbled against a very good 49ers squad. I say this without much confidence — as Jacksonville is tied for the league lead with takeaways (18) but is tied for 26th with 17 giveaways — but the Jaguars should return to the win column."

Vinnie Iyer, Sporting News: Jags 23-13

"The Titans won't be able to run well to help Will Levis and their offensive line is crumbling even more at the wrong time. The Jaguars don't get a lot of sacks but they have some big playmakers in the back seven. Doug Pederson's team got embarrassed at home by the 49ers and will want to take it out hard on a reeling division foe."

Pete Prisco, CBS Sports: Jags 28-13

"The Titans are playing a third consecutive road game, which is brutal. The Jaguars are coming off a terrible showing against the 49ers at home, so they will be stewing. Their offense has struggled this season, but they will get it going here. The Jaguars win it big."

Brent Sobleski, Bleacher Report: Titans cover

Sobleski was the only member of Bleacher Report's seven-person panel to pick the Titans. "If Tennessee keeps (Trevor) Lawrence off his game, creates a turnover or two and gets (Derrick) Henry rolling to take pressure off rookie quarterback Will Levis, the Titans can keep this meeting tight, if not outright win," he wrote.

Mike Florio, Pro Football Talk: Jags 30-20

"The Jags need to get right before going to Houston next weekend."

Safid Dean, USA TODAY: Jags 30-17

"Trevor Lawrence, Travis Etienne Jr. and the Jaguars offense will find their groove again after a lopsided loss to the 49ers last week, and get back on track in the AFC South and playoff standings."

Ali Bhanpuri, NFL.com: Jags 24-18

"The glimmer from Will Levis' NFL debut has dimmed some after two underwhelming showings, and a third straight road trip hardly seems like what the rookie needs. A consistent ground game would be nice, though. Don't see that happening this weekend — not against a Jacksonville squad that's been one of the stingiest against the run this season (last week's nightmare effort aside). On the other side of the ball, Doug Pederson keeps true to his word, as the Jags dial up — and connect — on more shot plays Sunday. Jacksonville gets a much-needed course correction, while Tennessee remains winless away from Nashville (0-6 entering this game)."

Bill Bender, Sporting News: Jags 24-17

"Will Levis has completed 52.5% of his passes the last two weeks, and the Titans averaged 11 points per game in those losses. That won’t do on the road against the Jaguars, who are coming off a reality check against San Francisco. Jacksonville shakes that off ahead of next week’s huge AFC South matchup with Houston."

Tyler Dragon, USA TODAY: Jags 28-20

"Titans rookie QB Will Levis had a grand entrance. But reality has since set in after two straight losses. The Jaguars got beat down at home against the 49ers. Jacksonville will look to rebound versus a divisional opponent in front of their home fans."

John Breech, CBS Sports: Jags 24-17
