IU basketball recruiting: Hoosiers to host 2024 5-star Boogie Fland for official visit

2024 5-star Boogie Fland is set to take an official visit to IU June 13-15, IndyStar confirmed. Joe Tipton previously reported the news.

Fland is ranked as the No. 8 overall prospect in the 2024 class, according to the 247Sports Composite. The guard attends Archbishop Stepinac High School in White Plains, New York.

Indiana doesn’t currently have any commitments in the 2024 class.

During his time as IU’s head coach, Mike Woodson has proven to be a capable recruiter, along with the help of his staff. The Hoosiers previously landed highly-touted recruits Jalen Hood-Schifino, Malik Reneau and Tamar Bates.

The recruiting success continued this offseason when IU added 2023 5-star Mackenzie Mgbako, who was set to attend Duke before reopening his recruitment. Plus, IU got Kel’el Ware from the transfer portal, a former 5-star who spent one season at Oregon.
