Indiana's Elston could be out two months with injury

Indiana senior forward Derek Elston suffered a torn meniscus in practice and could be lost for up to two months after surgery.

Elston was expected to add depth as the lone upperclassman in the frontcourt rotation for the preseason No. 1-ranked Hoosiers. The injury could sideline the 6-foot-9 Elston for the non-conference portion of the schedule, Inside Indiana reported.

Elston averaged 4.2 points and 2.4 rebounds last season.
