Hoke might use QB Robinson more on returns

Michigan coach Brady Hoke is considering the possibility of utilizing speedy quarterback Denard Robinson on kick returns for the rest of the season.

Robinson was on the field with the return team once in the Wolverines' win over Michigan State last Saturday and could be joining the unit again Saturday night for a Big Ten matchup at Nebraska.

"You got a pretty good athlete in a guy who, if he can find a seam, he's hard to catch," Hoke said Thursday in the interview on radio station 97.1 The Ticket in Detroit. "You might as well use your players. The objective is, when you're in championship-game mode every week, to win the game. So how can you prepare your team and your players to win the football game?"

Robinson, a 6-foot, 195-pound senior, has rushed for 900 yards on 121 carries and six touchdowns and completed 83 of 155 passes for 1,264 yards and nine TDs with nine interceptions this season.
