Here's how Coastal Bend high school girls basketball teams did in the playoffs
The 2023-2024 girls high school basketball season is officially over with several area teams making the playoffs, including one team advancing to the regional final of the UIL playoffs.
Here's how every area team did during the postseason for UIL and TAPPS schools.
Class 5A
Gregory-Portland: The Lady Cats broke through to the area round of the playoffs before falling to Edinburg Vela.
Flour Bluff: The Hornets' impressive season came to a close after falling to Leander Glenn in the regional semifinals.
Veterans Memorial: The Eagles returned to the regional tournament before falling to playoff rival Cedar Park in the semifinals.
Class 4A
Bishop: The district champion Badgers advanced to the Region IV-4A tournament before falling to Fredericksburg in a close regional semifinals.
Tuloso-Midway: The Cherokees reached the area round before falling to Devine.
West Oso: The Bears won a district title and advanced to the regional tournament before falling to Boerne.
Beeville: The Trojans were crowned bi-district champs before falling to Bishop in the area round.
Alice: The Coyotes broke through to the regional quarterfinals before falling to Floresville.
Sinton: The Pirates made it back to the postseason, but fell to Devine in the bi-district round.
Ingleside: The Mustangs advanced to the playoffs, but fell to Floresville in the bi-district round.
Calallen: The Lady Cats fell to Hidalgo in the bi-district round of the Class 4A playoffs.
Class 3A
London: The Pirates returned to the regional semifinals before falling to Columbus.
Aransas Pass: The Panthers made it all the way to the Region IV-3A final before falling to Columbus.
Taft: The Greyhounds returned to the postseason, but fell to San Diego in the bidistrict round.
San Diego: The Vaqueros made a push to the regional quarterfinals before falling to Aransas Pass.
Santa Gertrudis Academy: The Lions fell to Aransas Pass in the Class 3A bidistrict round.
George West: The Longhorns made it to the regional quarterfinals before falling to London.
Banquete: The Bulldogs fell to George West in the bidistrict round of the playoffs.
Class 2A
Port Aransas: The Marlins fell against Mason after advancing to the area round of the postseason.
Skidmore-Tynan: The Bobcats defeated Premont in bidistrict before a season-ending loss to Johnson City in the area round.
Agua Dulce: The Longhorns fell to Kenedy in the bidistrict round of the playoffs.
Riviera: The Seahawks fell to Port Aransas in the bidistrict round of the 2A playoffs.
Refugio: The Bobcats came up short against Freer in the bidistrict round of the playoffs.
Freer: The Buckaroos advanced to the area round before falling to San Saba.
Premont: The Cowgirls fell to Skidmore-Tynan in the bidistrict round.
TAPPS
IWA: The Angels fell to Bay Area Christian in the regional round of the TAPPS playoffs.
John Paul II: The Lady Centurions advanced to the TAPPS playoffs before falling to Boerne Geneva.
