Mark Stone snipes a hat-trick for Canada at World Championships

Mark Stone celebrates with team mate Jonathan Marchessault after his third goal against Germany.

Mark Stone continues to tear it up at the World Championships with a hat-trick against Germany through two periods on Saturday.

The Golden Knights forward currently has six points — and counting — at the Worlds, including the game-winner to silence the host nation Slovakia with two seconds to play earlier in the week.

Stone was in top form before the Golden Knights made an early first-round exit against San Jose. After arriving in Vegas via Ottawa halfway through the season, Stone tallied up an impressive 73 points in 77 games, and added another 12 in the postseason before their dramatic Game 7 loss to the Sharks.

Stone has continued his impressive season overseas at the World Championships, where Canada sits fourth in Group A. They will face Denmark and USA before closing out the preliminary round.
