Hamlin and Sioux Valley teams continue to be ranked in Class A boys

Castlewood and De Smet's boys each moved up a spot, Hamlin's boys stood pat and Sisseton's girls and Sioux Valley's boys each slipped in this week's South Dakota Prep Media basketball polls.

Castlewood (14-2) is now No. 2 and De Smet (13-3) No. 3 in Class B boys. Hamlin (13-3) stayed No. 2 in Class A and Sioux Valley (14-2) slipped to No. 4 in Class A Boys. (Note: Hamlin defeated Sioux Valley 80-48 in a game on Monday night).

Sisseton, the only ranked area girls basketball team, fell from No. 1 to No. 4 in Class A after suffering its first loss of the season.

Leola-Frederick's boys (15-1) and Arlington's girls (14-2) each also received votes this week.
