Yahoo Fantasy Basketball Analyst Dan Titus explains why the Memphis big man is the best offensive rebounder in the league right now.

DAN TITUS: What's up NBA fans? Back with "Tip-off with Titus." This week I'm going to be talking about how Steven Adams has quietly become one of the best rebounders in the NBA.
- That Hansel is so hot right now.
DAN TITUS: Short answer is this man is a beast on the offensive glass. He led the league in offensive rebounding last season at 4.6 per game. And it's only gotten better as he's on pace to lead the league yet again in offensive rebounding, at almost five per game. He and Mitchell Robinson are the only two players in the NBA averaging over 4 offensive rebounds per game this season.

DAN TITUS: So let's look at Steven Adams' science behind offensive rebounding.
- You have to stand on the opposite side that they're shooting. Yeah, that's basic enough. Typically the ball bounces that far.
DAN TITUS: There you have it. It's that simple. You stand on the other side of the rim and wait for the ball to come to you. Not as extravagant or complex as Dennis Rodman describes here.
DENNIS RODMAN: Click and go back this way, over here, here, click to go that way. Boom, that way. Click here and go back this way.
DAN TITUS: And looking at the numbers, he's averaging the fourth highest offensive rebound percentage in league history.

DAN TITUS: The first person is Jason Williams. Not white chocolate Jason Williams, the other Jason Williams, who has the record at 20.6%. And then you have Dennis Rodman followed by Moses Malone, and then you have the big Kiwi at 19.6% offensive rebound percentage this season. He's fourth in the league in total rebounds. And he's had four games at 10 plus offensive rebounds. The second closest to him is Ivica Zubac.

DAN TITUS: So no one's really competing with him that much on the offensive glass. He's one of four players this year with at least two games of 20-plus rebounds. But how does this all translate in fantasy terms? Right now Steven Adams is 185th in per-game value.
So despite his great rebounding prowess, it hasn't really translated to fantasy. However, most of Steven Adams' value has really been impacted by his low free throw percentage. He's shooting like 30% from the line. But he doesn't get a lot of volume. So as a fantasy manager, you shouldn't really worry about that, because if you punt free throws, he's fifth round value. That's a top 60 player in fantasy leagues this year.
So Steven Adams, not only is he one of the best rebounders, but he's actually a really cheap big that had an ADP well outside the top 100 that's now paying dividends for fantasy managers this season. So cheers to the big Kiwi in his quest to become one of the best offensive rebounders potentially in league history.
