The injury list keeps getting shorter and the number of Memphis Grizzlies players this season is getting longer.
The latest potential season debut for the Grizzlies is one of the most anticipated yet. Forward Brandon Clarke is listed as questionable for the first time this season ahead of today’s game against the Los Angeles Lakers.
Clarke has missed the past 12 months since suffering a torn left Achilles on March 3 of last season against the Denver Nuggets. The Grizzlies (24-48) are eliminated from playoff contention, but Clarke’s return would give them another frontcourt piece in an area that has been weakened due to injuries and trades.
The Lakers (40-32) are playing strong basketball. They’ve won four consecutive games against playoff caliber opponents.
Star forward LeBron James is expected to return to the lineup after missing yesterday’s Lakers game against the Indiana Pacers.
