A new golf course is coming to Burlington. Well, a mini-golf course. And just for the day.

If you see people wandering downtown Burlington on Memorial Day weekend wielding mini-golf clubs and in search of the next patch of synthetic turf bearing a lighthouse or a windmill, think nothing of it. There’s a perfectly logical explanation for that.

Adventure Dinner, the Colchester-based catering company that organizes events promoting Vermont farms and small businesses, presents a mini-golf scavenger hunt throughout Burlington on Saturday, May 25. That’s the same weekend an even larger sporting event, the annual Vermont City Marathon, takes over the streets of the city on Sunday, May 26.

Participants in the four-hour mini-golf event will stop at businesses including Harbour Thread, Hotel Vermont, Kestrel Coffee Roasters, Mad River Distillers, Outdoor Gear Exchange, RiRa, the Vermont Comedy Club and Wallflower Collective. The $29 fee for the family-friendly event includes a box lunch and the chance to win prizes.

Adventure Dinner is presenting the event in conjunction with The Portable Mini Golf Co.
