Here are the Gadsden Times area top performers for the week ending on Feb. 2 including from the end of the basketball regular season and the state championships for bowling and track and field.

Thursday, Feb. 1

Ashville's Parker Smith scored 12 points with seven rebounds in a 62-55 win over Ohatchee.

Ashville's JB Potter scored 11 points with four rebounds and three assists.

Geraldine's Connor Johnson scored 25 points in a 76-55 loss to Huntsville.

Geraldine's Redick Smith scored 13 points.

Glencoe's Garrett Morgan scored 31 points and 10 rebounds in a 71-38 win over Winterboro.

Glencoe's Grant Smith scored 18 points with 12 rebounds.

Wednesday, Jan. 31

Geraldine's Jaxon Colvin scored 22 points with 10 rebounds to go over 1,000 in his career in a 60-58 loss to Sardis.

Geraldine's Connor Johnson scored 15 points with eight rebounds.

Sardis's Luke Martin scored 20 points in a 60-58 win over Geraldine.

Sardis's Carson Gillilan scored 13 points.

Tuesday, Jan. 30

Ashville's JB Potter scored 13 points in a 59-26 win over Pleasant Valley.

Gaston's Mica Merriman scored 16 points.

Glencoe's Aiden Cornutt surpassed 1,000 points in his career with eight points in a 70-30 win over Gaston.

Glencoe's Grant Smith scored 23 points.

Glencoe's Jayden Patton scored 12 points.

Jacksonville's Devin Barksdale scored 14 points in a 52-50 win over Plainview.

Monday, Jan. 29

Glencoe's Grant Smith scored 20 points with 12 rebounds and five blocks in a 74-44 win over Lincoln.

Geraldine's Jaxon Colvin scored 24 points in a 64-63 win over Section.

Geraldine's Connor Johnson scored 17 points.

Etowah's EJ Teal bowled a 593 across three games at the AHSAA state title meet, to end up in third place.

Etowah's Kaed Bradley bowled a 538 in three games.

Gadsden City's Derik Henson bowled a 590 across three games to end up in fourth place.

Gadsden City's Max Howard bowled a 583 in three games.

Friday, Feb. 2

Fort Payne's Skyler Cody ran a 8.20 in the 60m hurdles to claim third place at the AHSAA state meet.

Piedmont's Mclaine Mohon placed third at the AHSAA state meet in the high jump with a height of 5-feet, 10-inches.

Glencoe's Kinlee Montgomery scored 27 points with six steals in a 61-59 win over Winterboro.

Glencoe's Alli Jo Amos scored 18 points with six rebounds.

Glencoe's Anna Grace Ponder scored 12 points.

Sand Rock's Katelyn St. Clair scores 29 points with nine rebounds in a 66-41 win over Hokes Bluff.

Sand Rock's Kennedy Henderson scored nine points with seven rebounds.

Tuesday, Jan. 30

Etowah's Carlee Barksdale scored 13 points in a 29-26 loss to Hanceville.

Glencoe's Kinlee Montgomery scored 19 points with four steals.

Sand Rock's Katelyn St. Clair had 28 points with seven assists and seven rebounds in a 82-54 win over Sylvania.

Southside's Cora Clontz is the Class 1A-5A state champion after bowling a 589 across three games at the AHSAA state meet.

Fort Payne's Aubrey Evans won the AHSAA girls high jump title with a height of 5-feet, 2-inches.

Piedmont's Lexi Ray placed second at the AHSAA state meet in the pole vault with a height of 9-feet, 6-inches.
