Giants pick up option for Prince Amukamara

Prince Amukamara has caused some debate in Giants circles.

Is he a bust? Does he still have room to grow? Will he reach his potential? Well, the Giants organization still thinks high enough about him to exercise the cornerback's fifth-year option from his rookie deal, according to a report from ESPN.

The Giants made this decision with just two days remaining until the May 3 deadline.

Amukamara suffered a broken foot as a rookie training camp and was only able to play seven games in 2011. Over the past three seasons, he's recorded three interceptions and 24 pass deflections.

He started every game during the 2013 season.
