Giannis Antetokounmpo ejected for hard elbow as Germany eliminates Greece from EuroBasket
Greece's EuroBasket run is officially over. Giannis Antetokounmpo's run ended a little earlier.
The two-time NBA MVP was ejected from Greece's loss to Germany in the quarterfinals of the European championship, losing 107-96 in a de facto road game in Berlin.
Antetokounmpo was assessed two unsportsmanlike fouls, the latter coming with 4:56 left in the fourth quarter and Greece trailing by 14 points. On his final play, he hit Germany's Johannes Thiemann in the face with a hard elbow as he wildly attempted to swipe a rebound away.

Germany had little trouble dispatching Greece from there.
The ejection was a rough end for another massive game for the Milwaukee Bucks star, who had 31 points, eight assists, seven rebounds and three steals in 30 minutes. Even with the German defense hyper-focused on him, he went 13 of 22 from the field.

The win puts Germany only two wins away from a EuroBasket title on its home turf. Led by NBA players Franz Wagner, Daniel Theis and Dennis Schroder, Germany will play Spain in the semifinal on Friday.
