Georgia basketball SEC schedule: The teams that are coming to Stegeman Coliseum

Georgia basketball hit 20 wins last season for the first time since 2016 in year two under coach Mike White.

The Bulldogs have added seven newcomers this offseason to add to the four scholarship returnees.

Now, the SEC schedule they will have to navigate for the 2024-2025 season while chasing an NCAA tournament bid is out in terms of opponents in the expanded 16-team league.

Georgia will play permanent opponents Florida and South Carolina home and away as well as rotating opponent Auburn, according to the schedule the league announced Monday.

Georgia will play 12 teams once next season.

They will have also have home games against Kentucky, LSU, Mississippi State, Missouri, Oklahoma and Vanderbilt and road games against Alabama, Arkansas, Ole Miss, Tennessee, Texas and Texas A&M.

The Kentucky game will be the Bulldogs first against new coach Mark Pope. Former Georgia head coach Mark Fox is on his staff.

Georgia will play all seven SEC teams in Gary Parrish's CBS' top 25 and one on the road and only two of those opponents at home.

SEC play begins on Saturday Jan. 4 and the regular season runs through Saturday March 8.

Georgia reached the NIT semifinals and finished 20-17 this past season.
