Gampel Pavilion to host ESPN College GameDay before UConn men’s basketball hosts Villanova Feb. 24

UConn will be the host site of ESPN’s College GameDay for the first time in 10 years, the network announced Saturday.

The college basketball preview show will air live from Gampel Pavilion in Storrs prior to the UConn men’s basketball matchup against Villanova on Feb. 24. It will be the fourth time GameDay has visited UConn for a men’s game in its history, including the inaugural college basketball edition in 2005. The show last aired from UConn ahead of a Jan. 18, 2014 matchup with Louisville.

The GameDay show, which is hosted by Rece Davis and analysts Jay Bilas, Jay Williams, Seth Greenberg and Andraya Carter, airs from 10 a.m. until noon. The game against Villanova is set to tip at 8 p.m.

The reigning national champions, currently No. 1 in the AP poll, are looking to become the first program to go back-to-back since Florida in 2006-07. The Huskies won their first matchup with Villanova in Philadelphia on Jan. 25, 66-65.

More details surrounding the GameDay festivities will follow in the coming days, per a UConn release.
