Game time set for UNC vs Howard/Wagner in 2024 NCAA Tournament opener
UNC basketball and Howard or Wagner will play in the first round of the NCAA Tournament as part of March Madness. The time and date have been set for the Round of 64 matchup.
The top-seeded Tar Heels (27-7) will face the No. 16 seed at 2:45 p.m. ET on Thursday in Charlotte at the Spectrum Center. The game will be broadcast on CBS.
UNC, the No. 1 seed in the West Region, has been a top seed in 18 tournaments, which is an NCAA record. The Tar Heels missed out on the madness in 2023, but advanced to the national championship game in 2022.

North Carolina will play Howard or Wagner at 2:45 p.m. ET on Thursday in Charlotte. The Bison and Seahawks play Tuesday at 6:40 p.m. ET in the opening game of the First Four in Dayton, Ohio.
