Notre Dame defeated Tennessee, 8-6, Friday in game No. 1.
The Fighting Irish won the series, 2-1, and have advanced to the College World Series. The College World Series will take place June 16-27 at Charles Schwab Field Omaha in Omaha, Nebraska.
