GALLERY: Rushmore T-ball concludes season with live pitching
Aug. 2—RUSHMORE — The Rushmore T-ball League is a volunteer program that coaches kids ages 4-7 years old.
This year the T-ball league includes 32 kids, which is up from last year's 22 kids.
The Rushmore T-ball Program focuses on baseball fundamentals.
The first four weeks the kids hit the ball off the tee and during the last four weeks, they practiced with coaches throwing pitches to the kids.
Aidan Van Der Brink is the coach for the Rushmore T-ball league. After finishing his second year of coaching, Aidan shared how he is able to coach the younger children.
"Stay strict but also stay friendly," Aidan said.
Rushmore also has a little league that coaches kids ages 8-15.
