The Hurricanes blew open the game with a five-run eighth, out-hitting the Seminoles 12-4.

FSU freshman Jamie Arnold (1-4) was pinned with the defeat, allowing four runs (three earned) on seven hits in 2.1 innings in relief of starter Ben Barrett.

FSU used five pitchers in the game.
