FSU women's basketball NCAA Tournament projections: The latest bracketology predictions
The Florida State women's basketball team has bounced back from a three-game losing streak. How did it affect their NCAA Tournament seeding?
FSU is up to 16-7 (7-4 in the ACC) after winning two games in a row, the last one coming against in-state rival Miami. Coach Brooke Wyckoff's team is No. 43 in the NCAA's NET rankings after Monday night's games.
The Seminoles have a No. 7 seed in the Albany 1 region in ESPN's latest bracketology update, released Tuesday morning. Ta'Niya Latson and company would be facing Nebraska in the first round with No. 2 UConn waiting if they win. The No. 1 in that region is undefeated South Carolina, according to ESPN's projections.
Her Hoops Stats puts FSU as a No. 7 seed, too, but in the Albany 3 region. They would face No. 10 Penn State with UConn as a potential second-round matchup, while Caitlyn Clark and Iowa would be the No. 1 seed in that region.
College Sports Madness says FSU is a No. 8 seed and would get No. 9 Tennessee in the first round. If the Seminoles win, they'd be lined up to face No. 1 Iowa in the second round.
The Seminoles have a chance to improve their tournament résumé Sunday when they host No. 14 Notre Dame. Here's a look at how FSU stands as of Tuesday morning:
