Former Cashion High quarterback and OU wide receiver Cayden Cochran will join Tennessee's staff as an offensive analyst.

ESPN's Adam Rittenberg first reported the hiring on Friday. Cochran will serve under Tennessee head coach Josh Heupel, and it's not the first time their paths have crossed.

Heupel was the co-offensive coordinator for OU in 2011 during Cochran's lone season with the program. Cochran then transferred to Valdosta State, where he played quarterback and led the team to a 2012 Division II national title.

Cochran spent the past three seasons as the tight ends coach for Southern Miss, but he was dismissed last November during a series of staff changes.
