Flying to Omaha to cheer on the Vols in the College World Series? See plane ticket prices

Tennessee baseball is headed to Omaha, Nebraska. The team moves on to the NCAA College World Series after beating Southern Miss in a decisive Game 3.

If you want to support the team from the stands at Charles Schwab Field when they face off with LSU at 7 p.m. June 17 (or just want a getaway to Omaha), American, Delta and United airlines have flights available departing from McGhee Tyson Airport.

Unfortunately, there are no direct flights and tickets with one stop don’t come cheap. One-way tickets to Omaha via Knoxville this week range from $567 to $700, based on Google travel searches on June 12. Trading off expensive airfare for a 14-hour drive might be a more economical choice.
