Florida vs. Georgia score, highlights: Bulldogs dominate Gators in Week 9

Although Florida football delivered the first punch of the game, No. 1 Georgia displayed championship resolve and went on to dismantle the Gators in a 43-20 loss for Florida at Jacksonville during Week 9 of the college football season.

Florida's offense looked to be in full stride after quarterback Graham Mertz connected with Eugene Wilson III for a touchdown in the first drive of the game, but Georgia's dominant defense manhandled the Gators in scoreless second and third quarters.

Georgia quarterback Carson Beck spread the ball to a variety of receivers in the absence of star tight-end Brock Bowers, finishing with 315 yards and two touchdowns. Tight-end Ladd McConkey caught his first touchdown pass of the season in the midst of a 135-yard showcase.

Florida will look to bounce back against another SEC foe in the struggling Arkansas Razorbacks during Week 10 of the season, while Georgia will look to extend its winning streak to 26 games against Missouri.
