Florida baseball moves start time of series opener Friday against Kentucky

Florida baseball has moved the start time of its series opener against No. 5 Kentucky at Condron Family Ballpark to 1 p.m. due to expected inclement weather on Friday night.

The Florida Gators (25-23, 10-14 SEC) are in need of wins down the stretch to ensure a 16th straight NCAA Tournament berth under head coach Kevin O'Sullivan. UF is 18-11 at home this season and 3-2 five games into eight-game homestand.

The game will still air on SEC Network Plus. All tickets purchased for Friday's series opener will remain valid for the 1 p.m. first pitch. Fans cancontact the Gator Ticket Office at 352-375-4683 with any additional questions.

The Florida-Kentucky games on Saturday and Sunday will both start at noon and air on the SEC Network.

Two-way Florida baseball standout Jac Caglianone will make his final home start this weekend and look to extend his on-base streak to 28 games in Friday's opener. Caglianone has reached safely in 46 of 48 games for UF this season while batting a team-high .412 with 27 home runs and 54 RBIs.
