The streak has been broken.

Auburn came into Baton Rouge and won for the first time since 1999. The Tigers snapped a 10-game losing streak in Death Valley.

LSU stormed out to an early 13-0 lead but let Auburn claw back into the game late. LSU even had a nine point lead heading into the fourth quarter. Unfortunately, they let Auburn score twice and couldn’t get stops down the stretch. There were multiple missed opportunities for LSU when Auburn was giving them the chance to get back into things, but LSU’s offense simply sputtered.

The defensive line got pressure but couldn't get home

Bo Nix might have been running for his life, but he avoided being sacked all night. Despite getting a total of 37 pressures on Bo nix, no one got home against this Auburn offensive line.

Auburn's secondary made adjustments at halftime

After getting torched in the first half, Auburn made some adjustments in the secondary at halftime and greatly benefited. After having 235 passing yards in the first half, LSU only mustered 90 passing yards in the second half.

LSU's offensive line couldn't hold up

LSU gave up three sacks on the night. There were multiple instances where Johnson faced pressure and was put in tough situations. Max Johnson was hit a total of eight times with 22 total pressures. It made life difficult on the southpaw in the second half.

Bo Nix played better than expected

It was not the night I expected from Nix. No turnovers to go along 329 yards of total offense and two touchdowns. His touchdown pass came when the LSU defense brought pressure. On blitzes, Nix completed six of nine passes for 75 yards and a touchdown.

The defense folded when LSU needed it most

LSU allowed Auburn to convert 7 of 16 third downs in the second half and gave up a pair of scores in the fourth quarter after being up 19-10. The lack of tackling in this game hurt LSU, they missed 10 total tackles in the game.
