Edmonton's Eager charged with assault with a weapon
Edmonton Oilers forward Ben Eager has been charged with assault with a weapon as a result of an incident at a Toronto bar, TSN reported.
The alleged incident took place Saturday and involved Eager and the bar's doorman. As a result of the altercation, the doorman was taken to the hospital in an ambulance.
The alleged weapon was a chair, according to Sportsnet.
Eager, who had eight goals and five assists in 63 games for Edmonton last season, is scheduled to appear in court on Nov 26.
