Eagles WR DeSean Jackson is highly motivated and plans to continue his NFL career in 2021

The Philadelphia Eagles will be without wide receiver DeSean Jackson for 6-8 weeks after he suffered a non-displaced ankle fracture similar to the injury suffered by Dallas Goedert.

Mike Garafalo reported the news and he’s also reporting that Jackson has every intention of playing next season in 2021, whether it be with the Eagles or another franchise.

In four games this season, Jackson has 13 catches for 155 yards and no touchdowns.

Jackson, 33, is signed through 2023 with the Eagles, but this is the final year that the wideout has guaranteed money and Howie Roseman could look to move on.

Jackson signed a three-year, $27 million contract with the Eagles in March of 2019. Jackson received $13 million in full guarantees including a $7.17 million signing bonus. Jackson has a $2 million option bonus due in 2020.

The 2022 and 2023 years void if Jackson is not extended by the Eagles, which now seems unlikely.
