Eagles updated 53-man roster vs. Rams: News and notes for Week 5

The Eagles are one of only two unbeaten teams in the NFL and they’re taking the show on the road to SoFi Stadium for a matchup against a Rams team that is 2-2, looking like playoff contenders, and getting Cooper Kupp back in the lineup.

Philadelphia will look to contain Los Angeles Rams rookie receiver Puka Nacua on the outside, while Aaron Donald is still a force, and his matchup with Jason Kelce and Sua Opeta could determine the game.

With kickoff fast approaching, here’s the Eagles 53-man roster for Week 5.

#0 D'Andre Swift, RB

Swift is among the leading rushers in the NFL ahead of Sunday’s matchup against the Rams.

#1 QB Jalen Hurts

The Eagles will look to win their 11 straight game on the road with Jalen Hurts starting at quarterback.

Hurts is now the 7th NFL QB since 1950 to record 21+ wins in a 22-game stretch, joining Patrick Mahomes, Tom Brady, Peyton Manning, Jim McMahon, Joe Montana, and Daryle Lamonica.

#2 CB Darius Slay

Slay will have his hands full with Rams rookie Puka Nacua, and a returning Cooper Kupp.

#3 Nolan Smith, LB

Smith will look to see his snaps increase at the SAM LB position as he gets more familiar with the NFL game.

#4 Jake Elliott, K

Elliott has become the ultimate weapon and he’s won NFC Special Teams PLayer of the Week twice this season.

#6 WR Devonta Smith

Smith and A.J. Brown will look to have a huge day against an average Rams secondary.

Reddick recorded his first sack of the season in Week 4.

Cunningham has been a solid starter at the linebacker position after signing with the Eagles late in training camp.
