Eagles invited 19 players to tryout during rookie minicamp

The Philadlephia Eagles opened up their rookie minicamp on Friday with five NFL draft picks and 12 undrafted free agents.

Team GM Howie Roseman is always looking for a hidden gem or two and with Philadelphia surrendering six picks during the draft weekend via trade, the organization invited 19 players to the camp as well for a tryout.

One name not familiar to many Eagles fans is the son of a franchise legend.

Tariq Bitson, WR, Tarleton State

Bitson had 42 receptions for 720 yards and 7 touchdowns as a senior.

Jaylan Foster, DB, South Carolina

Gavin Garner, WR, Northwestern Oklahoma State

A big, physical wide receiver, Garner had 58 catches for 1,099 yards receiving and 12 touchdowns for Division II Northwestern Oklahoma State.

Juwan Green, WR, Albany

Green played college football for the University at Albany, and was signed as an undrafted free agent by the Falcons in 2020. As a senior at the University at Albany, he broke team records for receptions, receiving yards, and touchdown receptions, as well as helped guide the team to their first playoff win.

Harrar is a former Penn State basketball player and local kid from Strath Haven.

Jerry Howard, RB, Towson

Howard played 40 games in four seasons at Georgia Tech, finishing with 1,114 all-purpose yards including 850 rushing yards before transferring to Towson.

Grad transfer who played in 12 games making seven starts at the nickel position

Delan Stallworth, DB, Princeton

Honorable Mention All-Ivy. Phil Steele Fourth-Team All-Ivy. 27 tackles including 24 solo in seven games in 2021.

Damani Staley, LB, South Carolina

The son of Eagles legend Duce Staley, Damani appeared in 51 games over his five-year career with 19 starts, collecting 169 tackles.

In 2021, Staley moved into a starting role in week 3 after a season-ending injury to Sherrod Greene and finished the season ranked third on the squad in tackles with 65, while registering 6.5 tackles for loss.

Bryce Singleton, WR, Florida International

Singleton had 46 catches for 847 yards and 3 touchdowns in 2021.

Melvin Rouse, WR, Yale

Rouse is an undersized receiver with small hands and short arms, who excels at route running.

Keric Wheatfall, WR , Fresno State

Wheatfall played in all 13 games, starting in eight games, as he finished as the team’s third-leading receiver with 38 receptions for 616 yards and four touchdowns.

Robert Washington, RB, Valparaiso

Washington Was named to the All-PFL First Team for the second consecutive season while also receiving the team’s Offensive Player of the Year Award… Also named to the Phil Steele All-PFL First Team… Appeared in all 11 games and finished the season with 1,105 rushing yards,
