Eagles crack the top-5 of a PFF ranking of 2022 NFL receiving corps

Business is booming for the Eagles’ passing game and the biggest indicator of an upgraded offense is the respect being tossed around by experts and analysts.

PFF recently ranked all 32 receiving corps in the NFL and Philadelphia landed at No. 4 on the list ahead of the Raiders, and behind the revamped Miami Dolphins.

4. PHILADELPHIA EAGLES
A.J. Brown, a legitimate No. 1 option who can win over the middle of the field, changes everything for Philadelphia’s receiving corps. The only wide receivers to average more receiving yards per route run than Brown — who the Eagles traded for on Day 1 of the 2022 NFL Draft — since he entered the league in 2019 (2.61) are Davante Adams and Justin Jefferson.

Brown, DeVonta Smith, and one of the more underrated tight ends in the league (Dallas Goedert) is a nice core with players like Quez Watkins and the thus-far disappointing Jalen Reagor adding some speed behind them on the depth chart.

Brown’s arrival can’t be applauded enough for the trickle-down impact it’ll have on DeVonta Smith, Quez Watkins, Zach Pascal, and tight end Dallas Goedert.

The Bengals and Buccaneers were the top two teams on the list, while the Cowboys were the next highest ranked NFC East team on the list at No. 12.
