Game notes: The Tigers will be giving the start to Brant Hurter on Sunday, one of five players who were reassigned to minor-league camp on Friday. Hurter spent last season with Double-A Erie and has impressed so far in spring training, throwing five scoreless innings with two walks and six strikeouts in three spring training appearances. In Erie last year, he made 26 starts with a 6-7 record and a 3.28 ERA with 133 strikeouts.

Meanwhile, the Mets will have Adrian Houser on the mound, who is in his first year with the team after spending the first seven years of his career with the Milwaukee Brewers. Houser had a solid 4.00 ERA across 129 appearances with the Brewers, and spent the last four seasons primarily as a starting pitcher. So far in spring training, Houser has made two starts and has a 7.36 ERA.

Next up, the Tigers will face the Houston Astros back at Joker Marchant Stadium, with impressive young pitcher Reese Olson back on the mound.
