A league source previously confirmed to the Free Press that Kalamain, Bayno, Allen and Jones would be hired into their respective roles. Moran had previously been with the Portland Trail Blazers — first as a video coordinator from 2014-16 and then as an assistant coach starting in 2016. Prior to his time in Portland, Moran was a player development coach for the Maine Red Claws, a former D-League franchise now known as the Maine Celtics.

The Pistons have also seen some key departures on Casey's coaching staff this summer. Sean Sweeney is now with the Dallas Mavericks, and Sidney Lowe joined the Cleveland Cavaliers.

The Pistons begin training camp Sept. 28. They'll play the first of four preseason games Oct. 6 vs. San Antonio, ahead of the regular season opener Oct. 20 vs. Chicago.
