Detroit Lions OG Jonah Jackson out of Thanksgiving game vs. Packers with wrist injury

Jonah Jackson's return to the starting lineup will have to wait at least another week.

The Detroit Lions (8-2) ruled Jackson out of Thursday's Thanksgiving game with the Green Bay Packers (4-6) because of a wrist injury.

Lions coach Dan Campbell said Monday he was hopeful Jackson could return from an injury he suffered in the Lions' Week 10 win over the Los Angeles Chargers.

Jackson did not play in last week's win over the Chicago Bears, the fourth game he's missed this season, and was listed as a non-participant on the Lions' estimated practice report every day this week.

Rookie Colby Sorsdal started at left guard in Jackson's absence last week, the eighth different starting combination the Lions have used on their offensive line this fall.

Jackson, who also missed three games with a high ankle sprain earlier this season, was the only player with a game designation on the Lions' injury report. Isaiah Buggs (illness), Ifeatu Melifonwu (hand) and Frank Ragnow (toe) all will play Thursday.

The team also announced Wednesday that defensive lineman Quinton Bohanna and offensive lineman Michael Schofield have been elevated from the practice squad.

The Lions have lost six straight Thanksgiving games, but have the second-best record in football and a 2½ game lead in the NFC North.

The Packers placed tight end Luke Musgrave on injured reserve Wednesday.
