Demetrious "Mighty Mouse" Johnson will make the next defense of his flyweight title at UFC 227 when he rematches Henry Cejudo.

Johnson (27-2-1) fought Cejudo two years ago at UFC 197, finishing him midway through the first round. He has since gone on to defend his title three times, defeating Tim Elliott, Wilson Reis, and Ray Borg.

There had been plans for Johnson to put his title on the line in a champion vs. champion superfight with UFC bantamweight titleholder T.J. Dillashaw, but the timing of injuries and difficult negotiations sidelined that bout.

Dillashaw is instead going to put his title on the line in a rematch with Cody Garbrandt in the UFC 227 main event. Johnson vs. Cejudo is slated to serve as the co-main event.

Cejudo (12-2) followed the loss to Johnson with a split-decision defeat at the hands of Joseph Benavidez, but bounced back with wins over Wilson Reis and Sergio Pettis.

UFC 227 is scheduled for Aug. 4 at the Staples Center in Los Angeles.
