Del City's Brandon Garrison, Jamouri McCalister receive 2022-23 Suburban Conference boys basketball awards

The honors keep pouring in for Brandon Garrison.

The Suburban Conference announced its 2022-23 boys basketball awards Wednesday, and Garrison was voted Conference Player of the Year. The senior Oklahoma State signee led Del City to a 21-6 record and a Class 5A state title.

Senior guard Jamouri McCalister also represented the Eagles in the all-conference awards, picking up Defensive Player of the Year recognition.

After his first year at Piedmont, Brandon Jackson was named Coach of the Year, while the Newcomer of the Year title went to Piedmont senior Jeremiah Weay. The Wildcats went 16-11, advancing to their area tournament.
