Dejounte Murray hits game-winning 3-pointer to lead Trae Young-less Hawks over Heat

The Atlanta Hawks didn't have Trae Young against the Miami Heat, but they did have Dejounte Murray.

The former All-Star, currently the subject of much trade speculation, made the game-winning 3-pointer in a 109-108 road win over Miami on Friday. He finished the game with 22 points on 9-of-22 shooting with 11 assists and two turnovers.

If all this feels familiar, it's because Murray hit a buzzer-beating game-winner just two days earlier against the Orlando Magic.

Murray is in his second season with the Hawks and entered Friday averaging 21.0 points, 4.8 rebounds and 4.8 assists per game while shooting a career-high 47.1% from the field and 38.5% from deep. He has fast become a major trade target, with the Los Angeles Lakers, New York Knicks, Philadelphia 76ers, Miami Heat and Detroit Pistons all looming as potential suitors.

Given that Murray is a former All-Star — and a versatile All-Star who can create, shoot, pass and defend at that — he won't come cheap. Especially when he's under contract through 2027, with a team option for 2027-28.
