New dates for snow-related postponed high school basketball, wrestling in the Des Moines metro

Another snowstorm, this time producing about seven inches of snow in central Iowa, caused school closures and event postponements Friday and Saturday, including many high school basketball games and wrestling meets.

Here are some of the scheduling changes for the CIML, the Iowa Alliance Conference and the Little Hawkeye Conference:

Friday:

  • Waukee Northwest at Johnston — postponed to 7:45 p.m. Tuesday, Jan. 30.

  • Dowling Catholic at WDM Valley — postponed, new date TBD.

  • Mason City at Ames — postponed to 7:45 p.m. Monday, Jan. 22.

  • Ottumwa at Des Moines East — postponed, new date TBD.

  • Waterloo East at Marshalltown — postponed, new date TBD.

  • Pella at Dallas Center-Grimes — postponed, new date TBD.

  • Oskaloosa at Norwalk — postponed to 7:30 p.m. Monday, Jan. 15.
