Coyotes' ownership message to fans on relocation rumors: 'We feel their pain'
The Arizona Coyotes' ownership appears to have broken their silence on the Utah relocation rumors surrounding their team.
@coyotescentral posted a message on social media Thursday that appeared to be from the ownership of the Coyotes.
The Coyotes official X account reposted the message.
It said: "Let the fans know we hear them & we are doing everything we can to keep the Coyotes in Arizona with a forever home. We feel their pain. It sucks. And we are sorry they have to go through this."
The post had the caption: "Per my insider source. Wanted to share this quote with the fanbase. I know we are dying to hear anything."

Coyotes come under fire for social media posts
Coyotes fans have been clamoring for any kind of word from the team about the reports that the NHL franchise could be sold and relocated to Salt Lake City next season.
While hardly official, this post was reposted by the Coyotes X account, so it has to be somewhat official, right?
The tone of the post was different from some previous posts from the team that came under fire in recent days on social media.
One was a hype video that had the caption: "Committed to keeping Coyotes Hockey in the desert & building an arena in Phoenix."

Another post, with the message: "We block out the noise. For our fans and for our state, we push forward and give our all. For the love of the game," really angered fans of the franchise.

'Sickening': Arizona Coyotes fans lament Salt Lake City relocation rumors for NHL team
The team still received criticism for the reposting of the "Coyotes ownership" post:
Why are we hearing this from a retweet and not from the actual team?
— sam (@SamVanDusen) April 11, 2024
I appreciate this, I do... but man do we need to hear from them directly.
