Recap: The Clippers tagged Louisville starter Michael Mariot for two home runs, and they scored five earned runs off the right-hander in 1 ⅓ innings. That set the tone for a decisive Columbus win at Louisville Slugger Field. Bryan Lavastida had four RBIs on 3-for-6 hitting. Micah Pries was 3 for 5 with two RBIs, both of which came on a second-inning homer. Oscar Gonzalez and Sandy Leon also hit home runs for the Clippers. On the mound, Zach Plesac started and went 3 ⅔. He walked five, struck out three and gave up one run. Jason Bilous (2-2), who entered the game in the eighth inning, was credited with the win.
