Columbia area's top high school baseball players entering the TSSAA playoffs

As the regular season wraps up and teams prepare for the postseason, it's time to take a look at The Daily Herald's top Columbia area baseball players entering the 2024 TSSAA playoffs.

CJ Durrough, Columbia Academy: Durrough is batting .408 with seven doubles, a triple, a home run and 15 RBIs. He also has 30 strikeouts in 21.2 innings pitched with a 0.65 ERA as a pitcher.

Gunner Skelton, Columbia Academy: The sophomore has a 6-0 record on the mound with 52 strikeouts in 38.1 innings pitched. He's batting .410 with six doubles, three triples, three home runs and 26 RBIs.

Lane Sharp, Columbia Central: Sharp has 105 strikeouts in 52.1 innings pitched while holding his opponents to a .172 batting average.

Konner Bowden, Columbia Central: The Middle Tennessee State signee is batting .330 with 32 hits, two homers and nine RBIs.

KwanDarren Sims, Columbia Central: Sims is batting .349 with eight doubles and 21 RBIs.

Tommy Carroll, Culleoka: The senior is batting .354 with four doubles, a triple and a home run.

Dalton Owens, Culleoka: Owens has 47 strikeouts in 36 innings pitched this season. He's batting .265 with 10 RBIs and 13 runs.

Saxon Roberts, Independence: The 6-foot-4 Auburn signee has thrown 50 strikeouts in 27.1 innings pitched. He's also batting .415 with four doubles, five triples and four home runs.

Mark Harrell, Independence: The Georgia Highlands signee is batting .315 with 29 runs, 15 stolen bases and eight doubles.

Alex Bedford, Lawrence County: Bedford is batting .364 with seven doubles, two triples, seven home runs and 37 RBIs.

TJ Gobble, Lawrence County: Gobble has 25 RBIs, four doubles and five home runs with a .333 batting average.

Isaiah Bentley, Lawrence County: Bentley is batting .402 with 36 RBIs, four doubles, a triple and four home runs. On the mound he's 3-1 with 45 strikeouts in 43.2 innings pitched.

Kasen Smith, Lawrence County: Smith is batting .353 with 24 hits and 14 RBIs. Smith is also 1-1 on the mound with 33 strikeouts in 33.1 innings pitched.

Mason Tidwell, Loretto: Tidwell is batting .326 with a .431 on-base percentage, four doubles and a triple.

Carter Daniel, Loretto: Daniel is batting .333, while on the mound he has 44 strikeouts in 21.1 innings pitched.

Cooper Jackson, Richland: The sophomore is 4-0 with 39 strikeouts in 23.2 innings pitched with an opponent batting average of .085. Jackson threw two no-hitters against district opponents this season.

Colton Trimble, Richland: The UT Southern signee is batting .494 with 29 RBIs, six doubles, two triples and two home runs.

Bryce Miller, Richland: Miller is hitting .469 with 30 hits and 29 RBIs, striking out just once in 85 plate appearances. He's also 5-1 on the mound with 44 strikeouts in 31 innings pitched.

Macon Adkisson, Santa Fe: Adkisson is batting .378 with 15 runs scored and 17 stolen bases. He also recorded 39 strikeouts in 30 innings pitched.

Gavin Schramm, Spring Hill: Schramm is 6-0 on the mound with 56 strikeouts and a 1.27 ERA.

Nolan Brister, Spring Hill: Brister is batting .382 with 21 hits, four doubles, two home runs and 11 RBIs.

Grayson Burleson, Summertown: The Vanderbilt commitment is batting .381 with eight doubles and 16 RBIs. On the mound he has 48 strikeouts in 33 innings with a 1.48 ERA.

Zach Staggs, Summertown: Staggs is batting .364 with four home runs, five doubles and 23 RBIs.

Sam Sloan, Summit: Sloan has 12 RBIs, three doubles and two home runs. He's batting .379.

Davin Roush, Summit: Roush has 55 strikeouts in 39.2 innings pitched with a 1.94 ERA.

Christian Huntzinger, Zion Christian: Huntzinger is batting .425 with 17 RBIs and a .547 on-base percentage.
